She has two girls, both products of the Blue Springs School District, and a fabulous husband she has been with since college.

Students with last names beginning with L-Z will be working with Mr. Jim Brady. Jim has been with the Blue Springs R-IV School District at BHMS for over a decade. Before BHMS, Jim worked in the Grandview School District as a high school teacher and counselor. Jim has two daughters and a beautiful wife who is also a school counselor.

Brittany Hill counselors, have the privilege of working with every single student in the school. They will be working with students at the classroom level, small group level, as well as at the short-term individual counseling level. We aim to help all students set goals for their future and learn to problem solve and resolve conflict. The counseling program will offer group counseling sessions for students who are identified by staff and/or parents/guardians who may need additional support throughout the school year. Brittany Hill counselors will also be meeting with parents, collaborating with teachers and staff, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all students.

Both Jim and Laurie are available to meet with teachers, administrators, and/or parents to discuss the needs of individual students. They are here for the students and want to ensure that your child has a productive and positive school year. If they can support your child in anyway, please don’t hesitate to contact them. Please reach out if you have concerns regarding your child.

**Confidentiality**

Please note that all information discussed is confidential between counselors and your child, unless they are planning on hurting themselves, hurting someone else, or someone is hurting them.
